2-29-24   THOUGHTS

A simple psalm of praise this morning.  Maybe the verbs are the keywords?
Shout, serve, come, know, enter, praise, give thanks and bless.  This is the life of the BELIEVER in most simple terms!  Maybe we should post these words on our refrigerator?  As verbs, they are the words of action.  They are to happen in our lives because...   “the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.”  I really think if I could learn to “Shout joyfully to the Lord”, the rest  would follow  naturally.  There is powerful, positive potential in these few words!  You and I hold that potential in the choices we make each day.

Ps 100:1-5   Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth.  2  Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing.  3  Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.  4  Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name.  5  For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.

My Prayer:
Lord, help us to complete the potential You have placed in us.  Help to make real,  the design You have for our lives.  Direct our footsteps that we might please You in all.  Forgive our weakness, and give us Your strength in overcoming.  May we never fall asleep, lose strength or shrink backwards in our pursuit of the joy of Your salvation.  May we always use Your chastening for our growth.  May we thrive as Your creation in Your creation.  We pray for the living hope You’ve placed within us.   In the name of the One who saves us,    Amen.
